Yeah, I'll do the pipe thing on my day off. As for what's under the PS pump, I have no clue, but there's a pulley wheel there, and a component of some kind mounted to the block. As you said in a different post, whatever is acting stupid, as the temp increases, it must be expanding. More of an annoyance than anything. Steering is not affected, and yes, the level of the fluid is correct. I believe you are correct about the location of the AC as well.

Under the power steer pump is the aircon compressor

Just before the hole.... hahaha. I have found the thermostat was made 10/04 same as the big end bearings. This is clearly an 05 engine and the second failure this truck has had as it is not the original engine number

2003 ? I’ll take that as the build date of the truck on the door sticker !
