BBK Throttle Body available NOW

Idle slightly low now?

Put it on last night and drove it around the neighborhood, seem to run and idle fine. This morning after it warmed up, then idle seems a bit low, around 600 rpm. Even to the point where there is a slight hesitation when accelerating gradually from idle. Was there an idle relearn procedure that I should have done? I was assuming that the PCM would relearn the new throttle body after driving a bit.

This might be the idle set screw I PM'ed you about, on the linkage.:dontknow:

I just got off the phone with the old lady, and she said I can get one:rock: This is my valintines present:elefant: boy she loves me, she is the best:D

Supposedly, you shouldn't have to touch the idle set screw. The PCM should learn.

Mine did--it was at 600rpm after I installed, but after a few days of driving around, it's back up to 750 at idle. You might just wait a bit and see what happens:dontknow:

mines comin in good:rock:

for some weird reason i followed the directions & reset the ECM:aetsch: :aetsch: :aetsch: :aetsch:

will have to tighten up the CalTracs:rock: :burnout:  :burnout:

I rest the PCM following the procedures in this thread, post #7:

The idle is now spot on about 750 rpm. Howverer, I have a slightly sticking throttle. As I come to a stop the throttle will stick around 900 rpm at idle. If I just quickly blip the throttle, it goes right down to 750 rpm. I verified the sticking throttle by coming to a stop, putting the ebrake on, leaving it in gear, open the hood and I can actually pull the throttle linkage back about 1/32 of an inch and the idle will come right down to 750. Any ideas? Turn the idle set screw slightly in?

If you adjust the set screw ,the idle will hang,I tried it before,If you want to adjust the idle it needs to be done threw the computer,I've done mine with the SCT.That is what I have experienced with it.

It's not a matter of the PCM not setting the idle. The actually TB is sticking very slightly, right befor the throttle stop. I can actually pull it back about 1/32 of an inch and it idles perfectly. :dontknow: Other than that, I'm very happy with it.

Steven, I will call BBK Monday and let them know your problem and their solution.

Thanks. But dont get me wrong, other than that, I'm very happy with it.

I still want to find out if this is an ongoing problem or is this the only one. Has anyone else had a problem with the throttle body:dontknow:
