Basically. The short block is assembled. We're just waiting on back ordered valve springs from Comp Cams. The release date is June 5th. Gotta say it has been a painful process.

Mickey thinks we should o'ring the cylinder heads so I will be inquiring about that tomorrow.

With o'ring are you going to do Titan copper gaskets? Don't know if Cometic makes a set large enough to clear the rings.:dontknow:

Anything can be done it only takes two things: time and money. Unfortunately I have neither.

I don't know if you have checked into SCE's gaskets or not. They offer two types: one with an integrated wire insert that doesn't require an o'ring, and a second that doesn't have the wire and works with an o'ring block/head. I am having to use the second type since they are unable to make the integrated wire version for a 4.20"+ bore size.

Here is the drawing of the intercooler.

Well after 8 long weeks the back ordered valve springs finally arrived. I went by Mesa Balancing today to drop them off and took a couple of pics of the short block. The long block should be assembled by this Friday, if not the begining of next week.

All I can say is these builds are a grueling process. The truck has been down since February 28. I want to thank Mickey (1qksrt) for being so patient during this whole process. He has been an intricate part of the entire build.

Here are some pics of today's progress. We got the pumps in the tank, ran the wiring and the fuel line, and reinstalled the tank. Mickey had already installed the battery relocation kit. The motor should be going back in next weekend. Thanks Mickey for an awesome day.

The coolers will be sealed on the bottom and the top? If so it looks like it will work really well. Rather simple once someone has mocked it up. Nice work.
