Disagreement: Let's enjoy it.....

Titties/Women or Beer/Alcohol - Which is better and why. . .

- Discuss.

On a sidenote. I agree with the orginating post in this thread. . . I think the discussion of differences is healthy. Its healthy until we resort to name calling and personal attacks.

AND I think whatever is said and done in the offensive section should be "ok". There are millions of classifications of humans. It is a certainty that somebody somewhere is gonna get offended. With that being said, the "open with caution" rule should be enforced. I know I've posted some crude shit, but I would hope anyone that knows me would know I wasn't out to degrade, offend of pass judgement on anyone. I don't have the right to judge anyone.

Ok, I'm stumped. What is cribbage??:dontknow:

Now, I think that maybe I owe everyone that smokes pot an apology. Maybe I should have used the word "confident" rather than "confidence", in the context that I have always been confident in my decision to refrain. I in no way was insinuating that those that did were any lesser of a person than I am. My best friend does from time to time, just not around me or my family.

I am a parent with strong convictions on the matter, and yes, I would most definitely try to steer my children clear of ever experimenting. My fear--albeit possibly exagerated, would be that the first time would lead to addiction. Whether you agree with that or not, I hope you understand my concern as a daddy.

So although I do not apologize for the stance that I take on the matter, I do apologize to flchub and anyone else that felt my comments were intended to belittle anyone.

I still don't know what cribbage is.

Cribbage, or crib, is a card game for two, three, four or six players that involves forming combinations of cards to accumulate points over a series of hands. Cribbage has several distinctive features, including the use of the cribbage board for scorekeeping, the eponymous crib, or box (a separate hand made up of discards from each player, counting for the dealer), the existence of two distinct scoring stages (the play and the show) and a scoring system that includes, among other things, points for forming groups of cards that total fifteen.

I have to disagree with ViperTruck2933 concerning drugs.I totally agree that people can ruin thier life and the lives of those around them by excessive drug use.The same can be said for alcohol, cigarettes, porn, gambling and even food.

Nearly anything done/used to excess can lead to problems in life.Personally , I think ALL drugs should be legal.Forfeiture laws are just wrong in every way.If drugs are a problem, just confiscate them and destroy them but do something to help the person addicted to them instead of further ruining his life.

No one gets up some morning and says " I am going to become addicted to drugs today." They try drugs or alcohol or whatever and it feels good to them. Most don't become addicts or compulsive users, but some do.I can't see how taking all their posessions and locking them up is the best way to "help" them.

If they steal, arrest them for that.If they wreck while intoxicated, charge them with that. The drugs should be destroyed if found, but the mere posession of them should not even be an issue.

While I repsect you and your views, your opinions will always be colored by the profession that you work in (law enforcement) and the training you have received in that profession.I have used marijuana in the past and drink a beer from time to time and an occassional mixed drink.I never became an addict and pot wasn't a "gateway" drug for me.I never became an alcoholic.I have gambled and never became a gambling addict.

From my side of life ,I have always looked on forfeiture laws as legalized theft by law enforcement. My personal view of "The Law" in general is that it's sole function should only be to protect a citizens rights to Life,Liberty, and Property. It should not be used to protect a citizen from himself, such as helmet laws and seat belt lawsIf those actions could impact on another individual, then they might be justified. However they affect the person making the choice, not others,so the laws are unjustified.

About the argument that drug users are a drain/burden on society, why don't we ban gay sex ? Instead we are spending precious dollars on AIDS research that could be better spent on finding cures for diseases that aren't self-inflicted.

The so-called war on drugs is a waste of resources, that could be better spent on real problems.

Just for the record,I no longer do drugs, nor do advocate that anyone else do them.I do however believe in letting people live their life as it suits them,SO LONG AS IT DOESN'T ADVERSELY AND DIRECTLY AFFECT OTHERS.

Just my .02:D

So let's take a look at the scoreboard...

looks like

1) A Little weed never hurt anyone
2) Baseball sucks
3) Begood is always right
4) Headers are a waste of $$

And they(children) should definitely receive treatment, but,if it weren't for the homosexuals powerful lobbyists that get lots of money funneled into AIDS research, they MIGHT stop and consider that their lifestyle is self destructive.

They MAY truly be born that way (I can't accept this view) or they may have made a series of wrong choices that led them into that life,or they may have been traumatized as a child.I personally believe that we all have a choice to make concerning everything in life and using the "I was born this way and have no choice" is just an excuse.
