Dang it Mikey, had you flown to Houston I would buckle you up safely in #1900 and we'd hit the faaaaah-riggen road.. Then you could just stay in my room in Perry. How much for a flight to Houston anyway?

But to stay on the subject, I thought the monster Jack was building is silver..

I dont know exact #'s, it made about 650whp without a real tune on 3.5psi. No sense in spraying it or going further because no on was going to be happy with that.

That's very interesting.

If any of you recall, my dyno experience was just about identical. I peaked around 648-650 RWHP at around 4psi. We suspected belt slippage at the time rather than running out of compressor, but now I'm seriously wondering if I'm not hitting the same wall. Thing is, the boost stayed right around 4psi from about 3500-4000rpm on up, so it really had us thinking that it was the belt.

I'd sure like to know what you have in mind for an alternate on a compressor though. Novi doesn't make them much bigger. Their 2200 series compressor only rates 45 CFM above the 2000 that we have already.:dontknow:

Mind you, it wouldn't break my heart to have to switch to a TT system.;)

Eric Call me 314-540-1541, amazing similar results and I guarantee we didnt have belt slip.

Dual turbo's by chance????? :) How's the engine coming or little hard to work on when you are driving across country????

Procharger is the best answer if you want to stay with a centrifugal. If you were only seeing 4psi then your engine moves around 1000cfm at redline (without boost)! That has to be one hell of a build (big bore and great flowing heads)! Would love to see the buildsheet on that one!

You talking to me!?!? I already know how to make more power than your turd with one turbo, pretty soon it will be more power than you with one supercharger :D

Ram From Hell,

Are you running stock bore and rod length as well? The intake manifold, Strikers, headers and cam must be matched perfectly! You wound need at least a Procharger F-2 to feed your truck with 14+psi! The F1-R would be on the small side for your build.......

It's just a shade over stock displacement.

The intake was built specifically for my truck's build. Heads, cam, etc., were all factored in to it's construction.

The F2 ought to make about as much boost as the engine can tolerate.;)

Heck no wasnt talking to you:p BUT! you should have known a paxton wasnt going to feed those big ol heads , the overlapping cam and huge intake;)

but as far as turbos................we shall see:p

But honestly I am done in the hp war, I jsut want to drive mine, enjoy it, play with it, and drive it some more......hmmmmmmmm .....sounds kinda like the ol lady:D

You know im just giving you trouble Stinky, I <3 you. Im anxiously awaiting a PM (or call) from you BTW.

I didnt spec the paxton for the build, I installed it and made a custom tensoner setup, air intake, intercooler and pipes for it. I made the best of what was there and everyone thought it had at least 8 psi or so in it, but we were all wrong on that, live and learn. I have been given the green light to do what I want to do to fix the issue (the novi 2000) and feel confident it will make SICK power when its done. Eric is on board as well and this may very well turn into a very bad ass DIY supercharger kit for those that arent happy with the limits of the paxton/roe and dont want to bring their truck to Missouri for my monster turbo kit. Im very excited about it and will be moving as quick as possible to get some results and make Jack a very proud papa!

I wasnt expecting that either or I would have told Jack upfront, I really thought 8psi was attainable with the bigger lower pulley, but it didnt work out that way. He will be soooo much happier with the new setup, it will be so far beyond a paxton in every way, I cant wait!
