Hennesey a bad word but is this a deal???

Never Mind.

If 30,000 grand for a 05 was a good deal with 30,000 miles then 35 would be ok for a 06 with a better/more exspensive supercharger........................

I live right near spring

Ike please comment on my latest post Sir!

is there any member running a Supercharger on a stock block that is having fairly good success??

I'm sure there are several.

I will guarantee that they all have experienced and accomplished tuners to thank for it.

If it has not already been made abundantly clear, these engines are somewhat delicate for a high performance engine. They are equipped with pistons and rings that are not suitable for much beyond stock performance, and have a host of other issues such as oiling problems, block flex, and an intake that leans out the first four cylinders (especially dangerous under boost). A great Viper tuner is essential, as even slight detonation over a period of time will break these engines in stock form.

It has to be built right and tuned right, or it will be a ticking time bomb.

Good info, I think I read somewhere that the 10 started out supposedly as a Truck motor before it was shoe horned into the car??:dontknow: :dontknow: Still it sounds that if you dont dog them too much you may get a benefit from the blower??:dontknow: :dontknow:

My Django2 was the first (prototype) Paxton blown SRT-10 truck. I only mention this because it has had a blower on it longer than any other SRT-10. I had only a few minor mods other than that. I was functioning under the Brady Principle that 600rwhp was about as much as one should make without running any risk of going kablooey...... Mine was at 595rwhp before I yanked out all cats... So I guess I was somewhere around 600....

My truck never gave me even a hint of trouble..... It always performed perfectly and when I sold it to faslane505 last year it was in virtually pristine condition.... To the best of my knowledge it is still going strong.... I probably would've heard about it if it were still not so....

I had no forged bottom end and no head work.... I ran no headers.

My conclusion is that the Brady Principle is a sound one. No more than 600rwhp unless you forge the bottom end...

Uh-oh....here comes Mikey.....

Yer certainly welcome....

Emotion isn't usually required when offering technical advice.

After reading this thread, the fact that you'd even consider a JH product is incredible.

LOL I didnt say I was going to spend it with the crook, I asked about a Truck for sale by a private individual, you just got into the cornfield stuff with the legs spread    ???? And you are correct I'm doing the research all of the above questions in thread reference this! Again forget about who put the truck together is it viable and a good deal ??????( from a private individual)

ps is there a fetish section in this forum for our buddy???:D :D :D

Just research Sir, and still open for debate!!!, We are only referencing an SRT10 with some bolt on products that apparently is being sold by a private individual even by your own reference earlier may be viable? This truck is being sold by an individual not a company. I suppose its like the guy that was busted in a ring trying to solicit kids for sex and he drove an SRT 10 QC, (The fact he drove one of these trucks doesn't make all of us kid molesters??) As you state the product a stock truck with after market goodies bolted on has been shown to be reliable under 600 rwb , I would not change JH's life one bit considering a purchase like this ! ( Emotion isn't usually required when asking for technical advice) I am merely searching for a good deal from a private individual that may be viable???:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

ps I see the waters do run deep with emotion in this thread!! I just have to see through the fog and look from 60000 feet, in lieu of being in the trenches.

Half price would be $17,500 cmon Roy from an investment point of view and removing the blower that would be a deal??????:D :D :D I detect a very emotional response based on information pertaining to others regarding JH! Look at it logically for 1/2 price:D ?

New engines are $19,000.

And that is where you would have to go to drive one of his rebuilds and feel comfortable.

Hennessey is a great marketer...but to my knowledge has never built a long term reliably fast engine.

I still say Not At Half the Price...
