My second thought is why not let the insurance company fix it and then sell it. You don't have to drive it again, just get it fixed, sell it, move on.

If this deal is on the up and up, it would be a good deal for someone, but I would be skeptical.

No offense but get your head out of your a$$. You'll take $15K, needing another $11K to take care of the note to pass the title off. In a year???? Who's going to take the risk of their $15K on your word to pay the $11K in the next year. Assuming you have insurance and paid the premiums, that is why insurance is there. Get your insurance to fix the truck, who cares if you drive it or not, then sell it. You won't be in the hole $11K to get the title, maybe breakeven or a little less.
