NA Build...

I think the best we did was in the 540 area..

Ive actually ended up having a guy who was set buying my set up, as he was blown away.. and I sold him the entire set up.. made a couple bux as he wanted that system exactly and did not want to wait... so that one is driving around TO..

But I still have the truck and decided to do a similar build but not as crazy just a Gen3 full port polish bla bla.. should produce 150hp over stock and I pick that up.. well it was to be done today but apparently it will be next week.. So ill be flying back to T.O to pick it up.. and Im done modding or fooling with this shit.. lol... The next sell will be the entire package and then get into a nice lil sports car of some sort...

After getting nowhere with the search bar, figured I would pose the question. Who has a good NA build? I may be deploying again soon and if I do I will be getting a few more goodies for my truck. Just curious who has done a respectable NA build, what they used, etc. I mean I know TB, heads, cams...but just curious what all works well together and what people have had luck with. Current power mods are: catless, magnaflow muffler and SCT by Torrie. If anybody could just suggest another member to talk to that would work as well. I am sure this covers several items that have been discussed an endless amount of times...just difficult to gather it all at once. Thanks all!

The Strikers and small cam I'm using work very well. I'm currently at 577/607 TQ. (Auto Trans.) with pump-gas, no additives.

I could add even more power to the engine by installing headers, porting the Strikers, installing a larger cam, adding more compression, doing intake manifold mods, installing a more aggressive tune, cats, etc., but my current combo should give you an idea what to expect for numbers if you go this route..

Thanks all for the input! Gives me a great idea of what power is available from a NA build. Thanks!

Im in the hunt for a good matching cam for my striker heads ,,i still want good drivability ,but i do want the best match for heads ,,im going with 10.5 to 1 wiseco coated pistons,, ,i was hoping striker would have a matching cam to go with heads ,,for best results ,, you mention small cam ,can you give specs on that cam ????

[email protected], .600 on a 114 would work well for building torque in a truck.
Juggle duration and/or L.S.A. for more horsepower.

is that 228 on intake and 228 on exhaust ,,,and a stock cam is 114 also right ??

Yes on the 228.

You can go with a split-duration cam and favour exhaust by a few degrees if you like; depending on your exhaust system.

And it depends on where you want the power to be produced. The cam specs mentioned will produce a VERY wide power band with the Strikers.
