Reg. cab VS Quad cab

the rc is for people that don`t want nice cup holders.:beerglass:
the qc is for people that dont like wearing there drink down the front of them.:D

Haven't you ever heard "Drinking and driving don't mix " ? :D

You know, I think we are all damned lucky to own any SRT-10 and to have this great forum and good friends to talk about em with...

Wow.. take off the gloves why don't you guys.. sheesh.. 4drs are a girls truck?! :confused:

Truth be told.. they are both TRUCKS.. if you want super sporty handling, and crisp shifts that don't make you feel like you are driving the lil yellow short bus, go buy a Viper.. It's as impractical as the regular cab, and you get a lot more bang for steppin on the go-pedal.. If it's looks you want, you'll get 30 gals oogling over the Viper for every 1 tatted biker mamma that is hot for your RC (no offense to the tatted mammas on the board).

With that being said, and looking at the two versions of the TRUCKS.. QC rules the RC.. why? Because you actually get usability out of the QC.. It hauls ass, looks as good, still corners really well.. YET.. you can take friends along for the ride, or tow your boat to the lake. No brainer! :D

You QC guys are missing or skewing the facts on the RC. I have hauled MANY loads of home improvement goods in my RC, including 8 foot sheets of drywall. Let's see someone do THAT in a Viper.

I have also seen several guys post that they pull trailers regularly with their RCs. I know JMB Justin pulls with his.

RCs sound pretty useable to me. :dontknow:

Might as well just put a hitch on a Viper! It's got the same tow rating as the RC.. (which is 0!) ;)

Okay, lets do it. We'll see which one holds up the best. :D :D :D

I spose you could also install seats into your bed to mimic the QC for taking more than 1 friend along. :dontknow:

The point is that neither the RC nor the Viper was designed for towing.. the QC is.. so if you actually need to tow something on occasion then QC rules.. :rock: ie: practicality of a Truck :D

i pull a trailer with my rc all the time. it aint no boat or quad trailer either. its a tri axle car trailer. if you have a trailer with the axles in the right place and good brakes on it it pulls just like my hemi quad cab only it has a lot more grunt. the only reason they say not to pull with the rc is because they dont want you to burn the clutch out. if you know how to drive its just like every other truck out there. i mean, a normal rc is rated for towning right? so its not the fact its shorter. come on guys use some brains here. a qc is a grocery getter, and a rc is a race truck. why is it that a 60's dodge/plymoth is worth twice as much if its stick? :D :D

lol, that's cool. You QC guys just keep telling yourselves that. :D Meanwhile, I'll keep banging gears, riding 3 peeps when I want, hauling in the bed when I want and towing when I want with my RC. :eek: :eek: :eek:

Keep tellin yourself that! Fact of the matter is that they are both grocery getters.. one just does it better than the other :D

Practical ? How did that ever become a consideration ? The RC is as practical as any other truck IF NEED BE. I bought mine for FUN , NOT for gas mileage,NOT for towing,NOT for hauling,NOT for toting friends or kidsNOT for being able to sip coffee and drive,just pure tire-frying,gear-banging,corner-ripping FUN. :D I have a 99 4x4 for "practicality"

I believe this was stated earlier...and after all the talk the fact still remains...
RC=MANS TRUCK
QC=WOMANS TRUCK
plain and simple

An RC is a truck, a real truck...A QC is a sports utility vehicle without the hatch door on the back...

if you need 4 doors, buy a durango
if you cant shift gears, i believe ford makes all the lightning automatic
if you need to haul or tow...buy a hemi
if you want a real sports truck, buy the RC

It's truly apples and oranges... I had my RC for 14 months before I traded it in on the QC... I can't say that I like either better, but I can say that the auto sucks... I wish I had the ability to shift through the gears... and I'd still pay several K to get a paddle shifting kit for it :D the fun factor would increase dramatically :D

lets make this a poll. everyone vote. plain and simple who prefers the rc and who prefers the qc. simple as that.
