Any videos on how to do this repair? Went to do pads and rotors, found out front passenger side is seized.
They are very easy to do. I will help you out if you need it.

i don't know so much that its a defect with the calipers as much as it is with moisture getting in the system.dont know where you are getting rebuild kit for 10 bucks but if you can get them for that buy all you can get i priced them last year when i was having an issue and they where any where from 60 to 100 bucks for the rebuild kit. better off buying a remanned one. i am still looking into and seeing what i can come up with for an after market caliper since i have had this issue a couple of times already and would love to get rid of factory calipers so i dont have to rebuild them constantly.
My 10 is my dd, I should be able to do this in a day, right? Do I have to replace all pistons? Or maybe just clean everything up? New to this brake rebuilding. Debating on getting the semi loaded at rock auto so I don't have to deal with any setbacks.

doing good, just creeping.....It looks like your truck is doing awesome! Hows everything else with you?
Good. Man. Just got orders for ga. Headed there in aug.
did you loosen the bleeder screw ? the fluid needs somewhere to go and it will also flush out the old fluid. My rear brakes have been screeching badly the last few weeks, had a look at them yesterday evening on a mates lift.
When I took off the wheels to examine the brakes the pads and discs are fine but the p/s caliper was sticking. I got a loan of a caliper piston rewind tool last night and tried to wind in the piston while the caliper was still on the car, it was firmly seized. We managed to squeese it in maybe a couple of mil but i reckon it wont last long until its seized again.
Is a new caliper the only sensible option or could it be wound back with a bit more force in a vice maybe? Are the calipers the same as a standard mk 5 or different for the GTi?
Anyone have this trouble with a GTi before?
