Awesome that you brought her back from the dead. Enjoyed seeing the progress. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Well I wouldn't say that. Lol. Few thousand miles later and bent a pushrod and diesels on when engine is turned off?
Was this the new block or machined block you used? I'm confused?

Not that I have to justify it to you, but I'll entertain you for a bit. This was the used block with a new sleeve installed that was used for this build. The damage was repairable and that's the route we went.

I see how easily you are confused, maybe reading the entire thread or reading in general isn't your cup of tea. The first quote you quoted was from 5 months ago too, and it was driven that entire time. Bash away Scott, your opinion means nothing to me. :D

Wow, insulting is not the response I was looking for? I'm trying to help the guy isolate the issue over the phone so was trying to learn more about the build.
On page 3 it said new block being used.
Next page!! It says block that had issues was good to use?
I find it ironic you were bashing me about a truck I sold having a with clutch 1000 miles later, yet you"build" an engine by the "best guys out there" and it consumes oil, bent a pushrod, diesels when shut off, and generally has been a lemon since the guy has owned it 4000 miles!
I wasn't going to go here with this post, but your response warranted it!
I simply was asking what block was used!

IT WAS 3 posts and 10 days later Andy! Nowhere does it say, "we decided NOT TO USE THE NEW BLOCK AND USING DAMAGED BLOCK INSTEAD"
Read the entire thread twice! Pretty good at reading. You say you're using a new block. Next page old block is off to machine shop. Never did you say what block was used. Kinda leaves one wondering what was used. We'd assume new from reading the thread.

I read that the old block was fixed and used. doesn't matter, it ran for 4000 miles . Don't know if he tried to contact previous owner.Once he had issues . bottom line is... do the compression check, read the plugs and figure out what that valve hit to bend the pushrod. Is it the cylinder that was re-sleeved. figure out the real cause..... before the bash..... if you have a question.. ask it...

Scott, be real, you aren't trying to help anybody. You're trying to make me look bad. Remember when you just got done building Nick's truck and it broke a valve spring? Or is that another one of your problems you want to sweep under the rug? This engine has over 7k miles on it without a hiccup. Get your facts straight before you run your mouth.

First off, your customer contacted me because you didn't return his calls and he has a major issue and no vehicle! I wasn't making you look bad, you took that upon yourself. Yes, I built the 4th fastest Viper Truck in the world and it shit a LIFTER after a few thousand. Yup! When you buy 20 lifters, there's always that chance of one failing.
Now....since you're trying to save yourself by digging up a lifter that failed on me 4 years ago, you might rethink your business strategy! Using something that happened to me years ago to make your failed engine look better doesn't quite work nor fix the upset customers ride!
Sooo...give your customer your time and fix his engine correctly. Pretty simple right?
