Tubbed the Bed

AWESOME!!!!

So MT made a set to fit the truck!!!? (Are those the MT's we were drooling over a while back?)

No they are American Racing. They were ordered in 20 X 10. I cut them and widened them to get the 20 X 16.

I'm hoping I can set it up for a weekend test & tune, which ought to make it easier to meet up.:D

You, me, and Dale are mere minutes from each other. Don't be bashful.

Ram,

Next Friday, the season opener at breerton raceway is going on. I am going out there to see what my truck will turn after all of the mods that I have done. You are more than welcome to join if you like!! Not too sure that Dales truck will be ready though!! LMAO

Dale,

I stopped by MAX RPM the other day and took a look at your truck. Left rear tire is a little on the flat side bro!! LOL. Talked with Lee about a Nitrous install. But he doesnt have the software program for dodges to scope it and tune it. Have any ideas on where to go locally to get it done?

Yea, I saw the low tire. I guess that is what you get after sitting for months. Thanks for looking out for me.

I am no nitrous guy, but I understood that small shots could be done on the stock tune.
But if you want a tune done then you need a VEC, a SCT, a AEM, or a custom flash. If you get the SCT, it can be tuned via e-mail after dyno runs at MAX RPM. There is supposed to be a real good speed shop in Tacoma called Turbo Technologies. Maybe they can offer better ideas. I know they tune AEM, and I bet they can do SCT.

Just talked to DTS. They estimate my axle to be ready to ship by 3/28/08. A rough date of arrival is 4/4/08. I am still trying to nail down my engine arrival date.

When do you think you will be ready to fly Joe out? I ran into a delay. I won't be ready till the end of May or early June.:( :( :(

Well, the suspension will be done by the 25 of April. Then I am only waiting on Joe to finish the CAM. That could be any day. In reality, I expect Joe to finish the engine by ~ 4/25. Then 2 weeks for shipping and install is the 9th. A week for the break in milage and I am looking at the 16th or later. It really is all in Joes hands at this point.

...and how long is the installation going to take? Break in mileage by the 16th?

I'm thinking someone's going to owe me a diet Coke.:D
The suspension will take a week.

The engine shipping will take a week.

The engine install will take about a week.

The milage will take a week to get to the first oil change, then Joe will be able to tune. But I have no date on the CAM, so I have no real shipping date. Add to that I am now dealing with Joes availability for the tune. So you are right, I will owe a Diet Coke when we meet next.

I am thinking a Diet Coke over a Nitrous Install :) before Joe comes up.

Thats the wrong one:( it was supposed to be powdercoated purple:D

Purple? Hah! PINK!:p

Easier to spot the guy in second.:D

Mine is still in the original shrink wrap as well! I really thought it was a bit much to break in an engine, the breaks, a clutch, and a diff all at the same time. Each one needs something specific, and damned if I'll remember it all, all of the time. I'm just happy to be driving mine again at all!!!

BTW Dale, give me a call bro! Help me put some of those miles on the beast!!!:burnout:

Will do. I am jonesing for a real ride.

When I went to get a new (used) commuter car this weekend, the salesman tried to use power to justify a few of his offerings. I just laughed. Told him about our trucks and told him to just stick to the list I gave as important attributes.
