How about just switching the battery to the passenger side if you still have the other tray? I had hot start problems after relocating the battery on my previous truck with a big block Chevy.

I do and I thought about that, but I would love to stick that extra 60-80lbs over the rear wheels!

Have seen some with a kit that relocated battery behind right rear wheel and it does start very slow!! I ran 3/0 wire on mine and you'd never know the difference!! Kits are supplied with too small wire gauge!

Yep, make sure the wire is thick enough or you will have issues.

Years ago I installed the rear mounted battery kit from JMB, moves the battery to the passenger side rear fender well behind the rear tire, I have had no issues, and I use the Optima Red Top.

I have the jmb kit and have had some issues with slow starting, but it hasn't ever failed to start, and I've had to start it in gear several times.

Most of my trouble seems to be when it is hot and I have to start the truck over and over

2/0 or 3/0 weldin cable would be sweet:rock::rock::rock:

run the pos. & neg. all the way to the front & if your batt. is lucky enough to have side terminals go neg. to frame & clean all frame grounds to bare metal. yeah, thats the ticket:D:rock:

Has anyone removed inner fenders and / or the belly pan that bolts to the bottom of the front fascia and / or the brake cooling ducts? If so what kind of weight are we talking and how it would negatively affect the front fascia?

I still have the wheel liners but the rest of that stuff is gone, not sure what it weighs but it is heavy considering its plastic

I think it might need some supports fabbed up for it to keep the fascia in place, I will need to take a closer look at it when I get them out.

I'm going to relocate the fuel tank behind the rear axle where the spare was, I found a company who builds them and they look nice

Dom was looking into having a carbon fiber tailgate made, haven't heard any updates on if or when this was happening.

We just skinned it instead, already too light in the back.
