i know, i still cant see the light at the end of the tunnel but hopefully its getting close. still have a month or so waiting on the crank then assembly.im still in the tear down stage. worked a little on the front end part of the lowering kit last weekend. been hard to get a lot done. been a wet summer down here and the grass needs cutting twice a week it seems like. ready for fall.
 
Need to wash mine but I'll probably be too lazy.

Yea been kinda busy, you know one thing leads to another.

New good lookin wife leads to new baby boy, leads to house to small for 4 of us, leads to me buildin a new house this year, leads to me loosin my mind :argh:

Now we are on a dead line too, current house is sold have to be out Oct 1st. New house is waiting and drywaller to get done then I have to finish the rest of it, oh its been a long summer, can't wait till its done.

So I drove the truck twice this year, still has same gas in it as last year, haven't even washed it this year. Oh and it doesn't seat 4 very well ;)
 
Complete Detail Today, with engine. Looks as good today as when it was new. The dealer wanted to know if they could put in on the show floor for a week. Not bad for 36K miles..... :)

Detailing the CTS V as we speak.

Chicago Area Supercar Show tomorrow morning (8 to 11 at Glenview Mall).

Wife even agreed to go...has never been willing to go to a show when I took the truck?!

One of the CEO's of a company in my bosses building just got a CTS V this year. My tongue drags the ground when I pull in to the building . Very cool guy and even though I should report him for leaving all the black marks in the parking lot :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: I don't . He is a cool guy and we always talk cars when he is around. Very different social class between both of us. I maintain the building , manage all the mods to make him happy, and get to where shorts when its hot . He runs a company has to where a suite and makes a shit load more than me. Still when we talk cars we are on a level. Last time we spoke he asked me why I have yet to make my marks on the lot.

The best part is when I get my clutch installed and broke in he has agreed to let me drive the V if I let him drive the 10. He wants to drive the fastest production truck and I want to drive the fastest 4 door sedan .

Sorry not really related to the thread but dammit . I can't wait to drive the V

When you get in:

Put on the seat belt.

Start the engine.

Put it in Drive.

Move the shift lever to the right until it clicks into M.

Push the Suspension button (directly above the Nav button) once.

Push the traction button (on the left spoke of the steering wheel) twice.

Leave it there...do not touch the shift lever again, do not push the shift paddles...the read out will read manual "M"...but it will shift automatically and very hard at very high rpm...

You will be in sport competitive mode...romp on it from a stop and it will leave very large, very black, long (like 60 or 70 feet) marks...and when it hooks, you will be wanting to change your shorts very quickly. Have a ball and drive it like "he" stole it!

mopar mid's installation

QTP elec cutout's installation and wiring

reinstalled the magnaflow exh,

catch can fabrication and installation

N20 setup, and relocation of solenoid and made a braket for the purge kit

a/f monitor installation and custom mounting plate

retuned SCT

i know im 4getting something but im too tired to think,.. :)
 
Got up early and changed the rear brake pads on the truck...what a pleasure it is to change pads on Wilwood's! Pull the wheel, pull the carter pin, pull out the two pads, insert the new pads, replace the carter pin...drive it 10 or 20 miles to get rid of the crust...and done!

Also trimmed the new full rear wheel well liners where the tires were rubbing just a little.

Looked long and lovingly at the stainless pumpkin bolts! I have hated the rusted bolts for a year and a half...stainless is sexy!

Cleaned the new leads from the remote battery behind the right rear tire...got to keep them clean!

Love the skid pad just applied under the front facia...

Nice work Justin! Fits perfectly.
