Of course, I was going down hill and had a bit of a tail wind, but for about 30-45 seconds I had a 10 with better gas mileage than a Prius

Broke 20 once on the flat at 60 with AC on. Around 16.5 with ups and downs and steady speed. About 11 around town. About 8 if I'm driving for fun and punch it here and there.

when i am just highway driving, i will see 300 miles out of a tank! usually get 250 miles normally. it gets as bad as 150 if i am running hard!! i pulled my 19' camper trailer with it and the difference was about 2 mpg .

Well sounds like 18 is a fair average on the highway at 70 driving normal. Much better than the 13 advertised on my window sticker:dontknow::D

When I go to Illinois, I will be checking actual MPG versus what the truck says. My estimate is for my trip (going there, driving while I am there driving back) will take about 300 gallons of gas. I would love it if I was way off.....on the extra side..haha.

wow i wish 8.8 in town and im afraid to drive out of town due to loan for fuel that i would have to take out. When going on a road trip should i put the stock tune into it?? Have a 05rc k&n catless mids with magnalflow rear and sct tuner. My few trips on the interstate the best is 13.5. I have tested the computer and its been right on the nuts.

Don't take my word, but I would assume leave the tune. Should be running more efficient...?

I just did a run from McKinney, TX to Wichita, KS (393 miles), A/C blowing, Cruise set at 80 and I logged 16.5 mpg with a tail wind. Only used 3/4 of a tank. I usually get 11 mpg in town. The trip back I only got 13.5 mpg with a pretty brisk head wind. My Escalade doesn't get much better highway mileage than my truck. But it beats it in around town mpg by 4 mpg.

I get around 250 miles on a tank. The overhead, which is reset as soon as I get gas, said I was getting 19. The over head has never been close to being right. Every other week I get 18-21mpg according to the over head but the most I've had is 265 miles on a tank. Most are 230-250. When I do the math I'm between 8 and 11 mpg. Stupid over head and it's lies. I'd be curious as to who is following the computer mileage and who does it themselves.

I'm getting around 9.4 city.... the best highway was 14.7 going before the sct tune. Now I'm averaging about 270 or less on a tank hwy. Mine is a 05 qc ... My mods are sct tune, TB and a Suncoast w/shift kit valve body....
It appears that there is no comparison when comparing RC'S to QC's and different Mods. A true comparison would be trucks with the same configurations.....

My best ever was 16.5 from Arkansas to Dallas. I was doing 65 downhill and 55 uphill. I was really trying to get the best mileage I could by holding the pedal as steady as practical. Utilizing the cruise control always nets me worse mileage.

My typical highway mileage is around 13. I typically get around 9 in the city.

Has anyone noticed significant gains in MPG after tune??

Im sure at first the answer is a resounding no because you are on it all the time, but after the initial excitment and you try to drive a normal trip, has it imporved over stock??? :dontknow:

After the tune I would get a best of 12.4 mpg hwy, that was driving with a egg under my foot so I lost 2 mpg. Could not re-install my original stock tune( it was gone ?) The tuner sent me another stock tune, Still no better . Went back and forth a few times with the tuner and never could get an answer why!!!! There was a lifetime tune update included with the tuner,,, That is now worthless as he is no longer around and the company will not honor it. Some members know who I am talking about. I will only use the stock tune he sent , I don't trust any of his tunes....

Torrie @ unleashed is the man to go to based on his reputation.
