I bet it would run those times at ATCO or Englishtown (or a ski slope near you), but in all seriousness, after having it a couple of days and driving it more aggressively, it runs very good. Shifting right at 6k rpms, the revs don't drop much with the 6-speed, and it pulls extremely hard on the 20-100mph pulls I've done. Definitely doesn't run out of breath on the top end.
I don't know much about the 710 cam, but what I want is something that will be very streetable and street legal, AND I don't have to go spend more $$ on new valvesprings/retainers/keepers and potentially machine work for the spring seats. So it is indeed going to take some significant R&D, b/c I have no idea what the Gen IV springs can handle. I've tried to find Gen IV Viper cam specs, but given it is VVT (or some form of it, I believe), I'm not sure that would be much of an indicator to go by.
You're right... I basically have a Gen IV engine (minus .1 L and a little compression, and no variable timing cam), so given those variables... my HP/TQ is probably about right. It's just not what was advertised.
