Stomped Gas and QC fell on its face! Help Please!!!

We can fix you up as well boss. I still think they're blowing smoke up your rear but that's hard to swallow without pictures. Honestly still think it's a cam sensor.
 
Well bad new from the dealership, after installing the new intake sensor, all new plugs/wires, they called back and said that it running so rich cause the cylinder walls to be washed with fuel and I'm going to need a new engine!. Imagine that.. Now the BIG question, is it cheaper to build or just bite the bullet and trade? I see used from 10k up, new from 20k and up.. Is there somewhere to get a rebuild kit? Overhaul kit? The best cheapest route? There has to be aftermarket internals if building too right?

Did they fix the running rich issue, and what was the problem ?? They can't just say that your engine is toast and you need to replace it....you'll be in the same boat as you are now ( only $7k lighter in the pocket)

A compression test is easy to do and so is a reputable mechanic with a second opinion, that's what I would do.
 
Before you take it anywhere else(or have it towed) let me try and get down to you this weekend. We can test compression and worst case pull some stuff apart to see what the cause is.
 
They are trying to located the issue today, havnt heard from them yet but bout to call them and see.. In the mean time if anyone has a extra camshaft sensor than I would love to get it off of them.. Paypal ready and Trussman I have Friday-sunday off this weekend and would greatly appreciate the help! Ill keep everyone tuned in once I hear from them.
 
You might try Xbuilders for a "used" cam sensor. Most will not give up their spare for risk of needing it in the future.

Well thats what they told me, I have 2 bad bearings and need a motor 15k note this was a dealer. So it has now become obvious the dealerships have no way of servicing viper motor powered vehicles.

Arrow will rebuild your motor for 8 to 12k (depending on problem they find after they tear it down) or they can sell you a reman one for 13k which is basically a rebuilt viper motor the right way so it wont burn oil and spin bearings etc. Im still in the process of getting a second pinon on mine as I dont see how I can just spin a bearing from it sitting and being dropped off rocks 5 inches high.

As of now they are saying 11,400$ to put a new engine in with a 3yr warranty but still seems crazy to me that this thing will start and run.. idles kind of rough but still seems like its stuck in limp mode!!! ive blown up a few engines and thrown a few rods and the damn thing still screams down the road until it cant anymore. This truck is not making any noise and starts fine.. Hard to believe in just a second that a 10cyl engine cant go over 15mph, and wont rev over 3k!!!

Again even if you had worn bearing, washed cylinders, it's still gonna do 100mph if you want it to. It just won't have near the power. Bad rings, bearings don't cause a misfire or lack of engine to rev! Timing has everything to do with it though
 
I just talked with them again and they said they don't know the exact problem with the engine cause they didn't dig any deeper and spend more of my money when they think its the "engine".. They said they could do a PCM flash to try and reset all the setting but not sure if that will do anything. also they said they can put in a short block for 11,400$... This still seems steep for not knowing whats wrong! I still don't think its the engine.
 
when you get tired of playing the dealer ship games they play, bring it over about 5 hours west, or we can pick up, ;)

I don't care for dealerships being badmouthed, but Tony is very, very right here. You need to let someone that knows what the hell they're doing get their hands on it.
