My Runner-Extension Project on my Gen III Intake has been "looked at" by a few shops since last Fall. They all claimed they could do the mods I wanted (but none of them did).
The general consensus by the Intake Pros: "The mods will work in a limited RPM range"; which is what the mods I had planned were supposed to do anyway.
Over the past month, I've decided to leave the Gen III Intake alone and go with a brand new Custom Billet Intake specific to my engine's power profile.
It will be the most cost effective and performance effective plan as modified or not, the Gen III Intake was originally designed for a 500'ish hp engine and certain restrictions exist.
A 3 month turnaround to have a Billet Intake designed, CNC'd and welded up.
I'll post the results as things progress if anyone other than myself is interested.
They say good things come to those who wait.
