Poor acceleration

Did you see the "Corrected" #s on your E.T.?

Really, your fine (for relatively stock truck). Even the stock tune runs rich up top and lean on the bottom 1/3 or so for emissions.:)

Yeah...which is good but would the DA affect acceleration that much? I just feel it should be better than it is. Gonna get the DPs and wideband and go from there. Might do my 60k tune up a little early. (currently sittin at 42k)

Maybe tranny slipping a little. If you do any tranny work.... install one of Tonys converters. That will improve it some.

Hey a buddies stock quad cab 4x4 hemi can turn his 35's over no problem... common boys this is a 500hp viper motor we are talking here in a two wheel drive. Should beable to smoke em off no problem????

I had an 05 qc, so ther is no is it an 06 prob. the truck was strong, but even with a catback (rear cat delete)and CAI, the truck would not spin its tires from a dead stop to wot with no stage. if you power brake it, eben for a split second... it would roast them off, and if you staged it to 1500-2000 your tires were instantly smokin. and if i had my flashed PCM in, it would smoke the tires instantly in 1st gear pretty much at will.

do yo have any of this going on. i heard you mention you have a tune, and you still didnt spin the tires staging at 2k rpms. no matter what DA, that should not be???:dontknow:. right???:dontknow:

I'm drunk and had trouble reading that, but I think your agreeing with me????? Heck my 87 silverado will smoke the tires off if you mash the throttle off the line... Untill it shifts into 2nd and falls on it's face. I dunno, i just figure a quad cab srt 10 should have no problems roasting the tires. I figure there should be more "no traction" threads rather then "no power" threads

That's what I've been saying from the beginning when he said he didn't have a problem with traction. DA and A/F don't come into play as far as not being able to smoke the tires off a dead stop with our trucks. His MPH should have been higher than 96, something is obviously wrong in the power department and a dyno reading would be my next step. But what do I know, I only run 11.56 in a 92k mile stock motor QC.

yes i am infact agreeing with your drunk ass, lol. drink one for me.

yeah, i remember u sayin somethin along those lines.

he is gettin her dynoed, it wont tell us whats wrong but it will tell us if there is infact a problem. there is no way he should be able to go wot from a stop with or without the brake at all. no way poss. unless there is an issue.

that sucks man. welcome to my world, fukin 06's. mine dynoed at a whoping 416/453 w/ full exhaust and torrie tune:(:(:(:mad::mad:

I agree with you completely as far as something is wrong. But just not sure what a dyno will tell me. I know it will tell me my power/torque but not from a dig. Makes me think it is a drivetrain issue. But, there are no other "symptoms" to go from. I will for sure be getting a few dyno pulls with her, but still trying to think of other issues that may exsist.

dont forget, that truck is over 5600lbs. from a dig without some $ in her is always gunna be somewhat of a letdown.

The dyno will eliminate power being the issue and it will tell you your A/F throughout the RPM range. I also have dyno readings from my truck to compare if you would call me, I PMed you my number.

I sent ya a text.

When's the last time you've done a good tranny service and band adjustment.....was it done correctly?........are you sure.........

If you can't spin the tires from a stop stock on street tires something is wrong forsure.....I would check the tranny first then go from there...don't go adding more perforamnce parts until you get it figured out.....

Yes! have you ever driven from Payson to the valley and felt the power increase? That's about a 3,000 ft. difference. How about Phoenix to the LA coast? Less altitude change but more dramatic due to oxygen content of the air. Your DA on the 15th. was over 4,800 ft.:(

I would not ignore the corrected #'s Trainman laid out for you.

I also agree with azpoolguy, check out your whole air pump......air intake flow, spark and fuel. Having your automatic transmission verified is also great advise. Remember my guess for your ET and speed? I will not even bother running this time of year. Just absolute poor conditions for sure!
