ROE RACING

I drained mine Before I disconnected radiator. Opened up bleeder then stuck
a hose down into the bottom ofr the radiator with a small transfer pump and NO MESS! Everything drained block and rad.

yes Steve ,could be quite possible there's no drain on the engine block ....?

Just pull the lower radiator hose. If you pull it from the pump first, you can slowly take it off to the point it is a very manageable stream, can be done from up top. I think the SC install instructions actaully recommends this if I recall due to easily breaking the drain valve on the radiator.

was in deep study :D this day wether or not to keep the LPG installation...

1) the actual one with evaporators can be used but should be doubled
every dealer tells you their brand is sufficient for the stock 500 HP but it
isn't.Calculating the max evaporator flow they can produce and the max
flow the injectors can give results in clear figures : not enough ! far not
enough to produce around 700 HP... :D
Ok, a double system can be done but will be alot of wiring and equipment.

2) Other alternative is injecting liquid LPG instead of evaporating it first ( with
warm water circuit engine ) ... haha ! this could be the way to go... i
would have 2 great advantages : the evaporating heat it takes now in the
inlet only cools my air to denser mixture... not calculated but could be the
extra heat from blower taken away ... and LPG has octane 110 ... so sure
good against detonation ... cannot flash VEC3 as for race gas because
must still run on pump gas to...
Inquired fabricators if they have such systems that would work for 700 HP

now must go to dentist ( yes i'm getting old  ) , so , again perhaps a evening of not much ROE install work...damned.:D

Just an out of the box question...how about injecting CO2???

for cooling :dontknow:
Roe told me with the safe flash i don't even need Meth injection...so don't have it.

Back from dentist, can go again for several miles...:D but to cold and to late for SC work... so went home , cosy by the fire ;)

I'm by the fire too...but I won't get cozy until spring...winters are no fun to me.

3 pics with info for the DIY guys :D :D

the black spaghetti wiring from the LPG installation... as you see the 2 computers are already removed..., so is LPG rubber hoses and injectors....

STEREO 045.jpg

heard questions about pretension spring TB... i marked spring so will only have to tension it untill i see back the mark lining up ..:dontknow:

STEREO 046.jpg

i'm lucky one i think... my TB screws are NOT tapped flat on the ends for safety  :D

When you put the tb screws back in...scar them...ingestion of screws will assure sudden death.

couldn't i find them back then in my B&B muffler ? :dontknow: ...

I guess you could...

If you do that do a sound recording...would love to hear the different sounds they make as they bounce off the piston domes, squeeze there was past the rings, and try to wedge them selves between the crank and its bearings...but if they get out of the exhaust valves and into the headers and mid pipes the sound of them rattling around in the b&b muffler would be the best!

I take it that you went LPG to save on fuel costs. How much do you save?

not much.... after a year of savings (and less performance) i had to buy 2 new evaporators ... some 700 $.... not worth the shit  :p :D

good morning , evening fellow members.... yes , it's 4:40 am... just got home from our annual "St Elooi festivity " that's a dinner and CTC :D for my employees as it is the festivity day of ST-Elooi, the holy patron for metal workers...

This year i got a surprize present( as other years sigars and wiskey ),surprize.. yes, namely , i had seen several years at the exhibitions a painting of a corvette , a '70 as mine, but in red.I liked it , even made a bid with the painter at times , but never got a deal.....yes, that's now mine :elefant: :elefant: :elefant: i post pic tomorrow...no, today, after some sleep....:D

back on topic ;) , finished today all demounting stuff , except inlet manifold because of that nasty fuel quick connection... will do it later, with piece of cut tube :dontknow: , and drill the cranck pins...

Dirty job, all those oil lines to be disconnected , dripping down...cleaned up , ready to install things  :D

It sound like your employees appreciate you.

I got a different evaorator in mine, designed for a V10. (most systems were for 4, 6 or 8 cilinder, so barry got 2 evaporators).
Not that many miles on the truck with this system but so far so good....and the fuel cost is a 1/3....

Thats cool. Can't wait to see it. I too have a painting of a corvette done by Alfred Gockel (sp?):D

Thats a big savings. How long is going to take to get your investment back?

yes, take manifold of... hehe, that quick fuel connection was peanuts ( little plastic tube cut so i could put it over the tube, push it in and oeps... )

but... there are 10 bolts to unscrew the inletmanifold... né, some are hard to reach... lucky i have all types of sockets and keys.... even had to grind a key "on mesure" to get that 3the bolt rear driverside ....

( i have 10 inletniplles for the LPG screwed on the inlettubes... doens't make it easier...)

but ok, manifold of... tomorrow i drill the pins....:D

I have one question today :dontknow: :D :

from the harness in the valley with the wires going to the high voltage coils there's 1 black wire in front which was doubled and so going to each LPG computer... I cut that wire but don't know if it was original and if yes, were it was connected ???? :dontknow:

Perhaps better take a pic to show....coming tomorrow
