I'm 26, a union boilermaker. I'm sure most people don't know what that is so I'll try to explain. We work emegancy and schedualed oatages at power plants, paper mills, steel mills, chemical plants, oil refineries. I'm a certified high pressure tube welder. Some of the oldtimers describe themselves as "master munipulators of molten metal". We also do alot of rigging and fabricating.

I also travel alot, but most guys don't. Most only work 6 months a year because we work 6-7 days a weak most of the time, and people get tired and burnt out after a while. I try to work as much as I can while I'm young so I can take it easy when I get older, and stay at home with my little girl during the summers.

I haven't worked a day since before the Macon GTG (Nov 20th is my last working day). I returned from the trip and was immediately sent home. Yep, you guessed it. I are unemployed. . . . Some of you are aware Corteney is unemployed too. She worked for a plastic surgeon who died in a car accident in Oct. She's been searching for a job ever since!
This couldn't have happened at a "better" time though (seriously). If this had happened to us this time last year, we'd probably be living in a cardboard box today . . . . For that, I am grateful.

She was (only) working there until she finished college (graduated last Dec) and until she found a job associated with her degree in HR Management and Business Management. I think she got comfortable and scared is why she hasn't found a job through this year. Now no one in this area is hiring for anything in HR.

Seriously, they had intended on filling me in on everything that Friday but they forgot I was scheduled to be off. Then, they were going to tell me before hand, but knew it would have ruined my trip.
So they waited until Monday morning.
