Put it on a dyno to base line, then degree the cam....or put in a better cam and dyno tune.

He flew to come visit us, tuned a few trucks, and his price was MORE than fair for all the above. I honestly was expecing to pay three times what i did. I can't wait for him to come back in June, it's amazing to watch him work and the expressions on everyone's faces after they drive the truck once he's done with it.

i've got a client with a dyno jet dyno, despite it almost killing him, which is a long funny story, but made short he scraped his leg on it and caught some horrid infection and had to sleep in a hyperbaric chamber for two months. jeez! Anyway, we had a mustang and a viper and they were close being that he mustang was a drag racer. but we had the viper up to nearly 500hp. cool tools to have man

Dunno how accurate those numbers could be.

I dynoed 417hp and 422 tq on Torries dyno with only a magnaflow catback on a 90 degree day.

No way your truck is making 100 more tq with those mods.

My RC dyno'd at 456hp and 480 tq. That was a dyno jet dyno I believe, so a little high. stock tune at the time. Ive yet to go back with a tune from torrie to see the jump.

reading all this makes me wonder about the altitude at different tracks too. seems like my truck is incredibly slow here @ LVMS, i've seen different altitudes from 1950 to 2200 ft and the track website doesn't even tell you what it really is either. I guess other things like humidity and barometer would affect also but altitude would be a big change, say Long beach to Denver. How do we quantify someone saying they ran 13 in long beach and 15 in denver with the same mods?? is there a way to compare apples to apples??

by the way, i only got to make 1 good pass, 14.347 @ 99.29, 5500 pds with me and the big stereo in it (taking that damn thing out quick). lots of wheel hop in 1st and 2nd gear.

2nd pass, killed it on the line, then got mad and missed 2-3 shift, 18+ secs……..

You can go to dragtimes.com and use their DA calculator. It will have all the information you need for your track, the date you ran, and the time you ran.

Calculating 1/4 mile for DA is fun and allows you to brag to your buddies. But the fact is that if your truck runs a 14.x that corrects to a 12.x, you are still stuck driving something that feels slow on a daily basis.

Check into what ArrestMeRed and Caveman said. Your times at Vegas are in line with a mid 13 sec run at Famoso in Bakersfield. The starting line in Vegas is one of the best I've ever been to but the altitude translate to about .5 - .7 sec slower than being at Famoso in Bakersfield. Here is a video with a completely stock Black 04 with DR's and Trainmans Red 04 with a few bolt ons and weight reduction at Famoso.
