I mean, REALLY get out and drive them the way they were meant to be driven.

I see alot of GTG's posted here where members will park em', and then stand around and talk / look at em'.... Cruises, car shows, pavilions etc. Yeah, the cool part is meeting some members and talking shop. However, I personaly would rather drive it.

The dragstrip is one thing, now that they are closed.......

How about getting out EARLY next Sunday A.M. (4/21/2013) and taking them out for a spirited drive?? After, we can stop at a nice breakfast place and shoot the bull over a cup of joe or a bite, talk about the drive and do some lookin around at em'. Then we all can go back home and still have the whole day ahead of us.

The Skull Burner will be turning up the heat within a week, now is the time to get out on a cool morning without traffic and LEO's and enjoy the truck for what it is.... a BEAST!:D

Post up if you are interested and PM me if you would like some details......

This should be interesting.........

Cheers!

Wish I were closer I'd be all over this! That's the perfect time to seafoam you engine and fuel system and clean it all out on a spirited drive like this ;-)

Yeah! That would be cool V1..... and thanks for the suggestion. I utilize Chevron Techron concentrate prior to my annual oil change. If there are any deposits, the oil does turn darker. I also use a catch can to help assist in keeping the contaminating oil fumes out of the intake system. Running Chevron premium fuel in between also helps.

Yessir the Chevron Techron is sworn by in the Vette world.
I have seen seafoam do good as well if done right. When it sits on the piston tops it does break that stuff down ;-)
Of course so does lacquer thinner, lol

So your saying all my legal eleven second 1/4 mile passes weren't really driving it? That zooming down a mountain at illegal speeds where my truck can get impounded for 30 days and I can go to jail is cool though? :D

This is a very cool idea. (posts similar thread in Northeast VTCoA section) :D

Hmmmm.... an automatic with slicks & giggle juice. Cannot miss a gear, great traction with a power adder......I say easy eleven's ;)

How about running a street bike with stock wheelbase and no wheelie bar into the 9's at over 150?!?

Re; a spirited drive...... pick and choose where, when and what you do. Coolness is knowing your limitations and still having a kick ass time.

So what is the highest speed you have been pulled over for and not even get a ticket?!? :D

I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in easily over ten years. And if running mid 11's in a QC is so easy, why aren't their more trucks doing it? I'd much rather be fast than cool, to me its just a truck. Hey, your the one with the purty shiny exhaust. :D

I'd go if this money pit excuse of a truck would stay street worthy. I just installed new oil cooler and P/S lines and they are leaking again. Waiting on a new fitting from jtsvp maybe ill have it solved by then. Hopefully the slave cylinder will last long enough to go out :dontknow:

I'm hoping to retire/semi-retire down to Arizona in the near future..so you'll see the Silver Bullet in person..;)

We had this same idea here in SC, it worked too. But the only problem is we kept going…all day…terrorizing innocent neighborhoods and backroads, then we ended up in a bar, doing burnouts in the parking lot. I think self-control is key here.

I need some new tires before I go out on a run. But I wouldn't mind doing this.

Childs play, Bro. Ask Dom about big horsepower street bikes...

How was what he said confusing? Leave it to you Democrats to try and confuse the issue :D

Hang in there, be patient and it would be cool to see you on the drive.

Good to hear, I look forward to meeting some members who like to go out and drive em'

Funny story! I choose to not drive the truck after drinking (or before). That should assist with the self control issue.:D

Well, as soon as you get your tires, let me know. I know you would enjoy the run:rock:

This is too funny! Is there a larger image of this?!?

Big horsepower is the easy part, saddling up, clutching the launch, fighting wheelies in the first 3 gears, not missing a shift, all while staying in your tuck is not exactly childs play. Especially when you are NOT stretched or bared and you are 6' 1" @ 230 suited. ;)

:chain:

SO! Are any of us going to go out for a run?!?!:dontknow::burnout:

Cheers!
