pretty sure its not the fan, when i checked it the fan was intact and no cracks were visible, plus if it was the fan wouldnt it be making that noise even at idle?

my step dad says that he put magnaflows in it when he owned it, and as for the fan, the sound only developed about 2 months ago, and under 3k rpm it just has the normal engine noise

ok i need to pick some brains, my truck is an 05 with 57000ish and i've noticed lately that when it gets up to around 200 degrees it starts producing a sort of humming that sounds like its coming from the motor to me but from the mufflers to my stepdad. any ideas what it might be?

yeah he borked it. went out to try it this morning and truck wouldnt idle at all, just went down to 0 rpm. gonna take 3 days to get a new one in since they all seem to be back east.

as for the tps, it was from duralast if i remember correctly, and my throttle body is still stock

well i just got done driving the truck after resetting the computer and no dice. gonna go get an iac motor tomorrow. anyone know if its hard to change?

k ty guys, ill go ahead and try the reset and give it a day. if that doesnt work ill go from there

ok i had the throttle hang like everyone else did, so i just changed the tps today, but it ended up making the hanging rpms worse. should i try rebooting the computer by disconnecting the battery or am i borked? thanks

speaking as someone who upgraded from an 02 lightning to an 05 rc, i couldn't go to a regular truck. id always feel like i had some sort of boat anchor attached to the truck. and besides, i love the monster too much.
