Hey Stinker..
Just curious..How come you never upgraded the heads from stock on your truck?..Is it not necessary?or not worth the $$? or what?

Hey big buddy:rock: The strykers on on their way now;) that , porting the intake, and getting away from the vec and goin to an AEM fuel managment, then in the spring or summer 76mm turbos more than likely.
Actually the gen III head flows very very well, and a good cleaning inside works a charm.

Well upon initial Dyno after Roe installed my TMTS Blower on the stock motor ...
I made 605 hp and 615tq
Part's and install was over 8K.
Roe had done all the installation and work on my truck since the beginning, and it has always been a pleasure to deal with the entire staff.
They did my flywheel/clutch/hydraulic install, headers / mids, VEC, Methanol, Rear Main Seal, and a variety of other jobs.   These were done prior to the SC.

Currently the truck has

ROE SC on Stock internals
VEC III
Methanol Injection
ROE Throttle Body
Bellanger Headers , and one set of high flow cat's...through 3" Magnaflow exhaust.
X-Metal 1" - 2" Drop
X-Metal GEN I Shifter
Viper Hydraulics, Cryo'd OEM Flywheel and Centerforce Clutch
Shaved Real Calipers to Run 16" AE rims on M&H Nostalgia Slicks
Calvert Traction Bars
Hurst Line Lock

Very happy with it...I got 6K on the set up.

Sounds like a plan..
I saw in your write up that the heads were stock and it struck me as odd that they were still..I shoulda figured you were planning on doing this..
It will be interesting to see what you are putting down after the changes..:D

;) ;) ;) ;) ;) :p

My truck dyno'd in at 620 rwhp and 615 rwtq. I personally chose the Paxton over the Roe cause these trucks have enough problems planting the tires in stock form. I couldn't imagine trying to plant +600 rwtq at 2500 rpm. Plus my truck sounds like I have a jet engine under the hood (Sounds really cool). I also opted on keying the crank rather than pining it, and also went with a forged ATI harmonic balancer which are good for up to 1000 rwhp. I have invested and I use this term loosely over $17k.

Looking back I think I would have stroked the engine to a 522, done the heads, and cam before putting on the Paxton, and probably would have spent around the same. Hind sight is 20/20.

All of my mods are in my sig.

I reached 702 rwhp/667 rwtq with the following motor mods only:

replacement motor from an '03 Viper with Diamond pistons added - ~$8500 plus labor
Paxton at 8psi - ~ $6000 (already on truck when I bought it)
Roe water/meth injection - ~ $300 I think plus labor
Belanger headers, no cats, 4 dynomax mufflers, custom Corsa exhaust - ~ $2500 (already on truck when I bought it)
Paxton and X-metal heat exchangers - ~ $900 I think plus labor
custom tune(s) through Joe Donovan at Performance by Joe - ~ $400-500 I think
VEC3 - ~ $1000

I'd have to think about how much I've spent but I know I lost a boatload ever since the original motor blew up. Then add the X-metal Gen IV shifter, lowering kit, gauges, tach light, EBC green brake pads, etc. Now I'm depressed :(

Afternoon guys

I am sure there are a few people who know about my truck but after taking it apart I learned a few things.

800 rwhp and 840 ft/lbs on low boost of 9 pounds
will get new high boost numbers when it is back together.

It was originally a Hennessey Venom 1000 kit. I have added a few things and changed a couple things myself so here it is:

stoked to 522 cc
JE pistons and Rods
modified stock crank to make the stroke
stock heads
twin 67 mm ball bearing turbos
upgraded fuel system
cat less
magnaflow exhaust
X-metal polished TB
polished intake
polished airtubes
heavy duty 5 speed trans from Century Transmission
cal-tracs
reprogrammed stock computer. * this needs to change.... taking ideas *
3 pieces aluminum rims with stock rubber
M+H tires for the track

My buddy and I, who are doing most of the work on the truck, could not believe some of the things Hennessey did. For the price of this kit I would expect "gigga" parts everywhere. There wasn't. We are putting in ARP bolts and studs everywhere. New bearings a must. I want to change out the computer for better control of the motor. I want to change out the stock injectors.

I bought the truck from Walt and brought it home. It burned out 2 sets of journal bearing turbos so I put on the ball bearing ones. Since then no problems until the night at the track that I wanted to try high boost. I made 1 great pass and tried to do it again but blew the head gasket and torched a hole out between my head and block.

All in all do not buy anything from Hennessey.
Precision Turbo is good to work with.
I just got back from SEMA and got part numbers and vendors for a number of parts for the truck I will sound off on them later.

Paul
FYI the truck is now a Hilge-sey Venom 1000 ;)

Paul...you might want to pm Stinker and see how he likes the VEC III on his twin turbo! Seems like an approach that you could implement...without fooling with your PCM. There are several people around that can work wonders with the VEC...but probably not in Wisconsin...maybe Joe in St. Louis...

How is the rebuild going?

are you freakin kidding me? damn...please bring it to the PHX GTG a run that mofo!

What happened to my post about X-metal's latest truck build that failed..?...

I thought this was a 600+ hp info thread....?......

600+hp truck tits up weeks after being delivered....that is good info yes?...

Based on this thread I have had pms about issues....let's not censor the information

Thank You

Prof....here is a pm for you..

"For what it is worth, you were right in your argument with Boomer. Unfortunately, you can't have a civil discussion with him since he can't take someone having a different opinion. He very quickly turns it into name calling and letting everyone know that he is an engineer (not sure what rail road he is with!). Until he can get past this, he will never be very succesful in his business.

I bought .....deleted for privacy... Contacted him for help and kept getting the run around. Boomer sort of turned this situation around to where I was bothering him because I expected him to do something in a timely fashion. I decided at that time that this was my first and last transaction with him.

It really amazes me that some people will still do business with him! Maybe my expectations are fairly high but they seem to be met by most of the people I do business with.

Anyway, I'm a nobody here but for some reason decided to PM you.

Nice truck and nice ETs."

Let's not get into a bashing over X-Metals practices... good or bad.... please. This thread is a good one, lets not ruin it.

Put the info out there, and be ready to back it up with proof (with permission of course, from the source). Slander is rough thing to disprove in court.
