Well that depends on if they love the country or love there party I do know one thing the Fortress will be hard to infiltrate:marchmellow:
Another thing people forget they say how can we go up against the US military like they did in the Revolution, very easy 1. we know how they operate 2. we know what it takes to beat there systems since we where the ones at one point using them. With that said I hope I am not around to see that day because violence should always be the last resort not the first, but If I am, I will give my life for this country as I did when I was in. But until that day you can not worry about it or it will make you sick. Plus like I said early if a meteor or asteroid hits us all this shit is irrelevant:marchmellow:

As far as "survival types" go, they can get a little extreme. It's always a good idea to have some canned food, water (bottled or distilled), and a generator (w/ fuel) on hand. I don't have any MRE's, but those aren't a bad idea. I hear they aren't too shabby in the taste department either. :dontknow: Any of the military fellas have a favorite MRE?

It's kind of a no-brainer here in Florida for us, as "natural disasters" are pretty common down here. My house came with 16g corrugated steel storm panels for all the doors and windows too, so these can serve a dual purpose if "shit hits the fan". All I would need is some of those "keyed fasteners" so folks couldn't remove them with a regular screwdriver.....

The "hard-core" survivalists with their bunkers and shelters are a little over the top, IMO. A ICBM's flight time is around 30minutes, so by the time they hear about it (if the government even chooses to tell us) is only several minutes. I don't see that being enough time to gather any family members and get to a shelter. I guess my only consolation is I'm not living in a largely populated metropolis, so I would guess we wouldn't be a immediate target. I would also have a little 'heads-up', I think, because some of the silos for the Missile Defense Program are about 3 miles out my back patio door.

It never hurts to be prepared and pray you wont have to use it.

Those one's in the paper wrappers are the same as military issue (right, DevilDawg?)...... They say they are from the same supplier. Now, I'm not sure if the military gets those "fancy-smancy" ones with the heaters, silverware, side dishes, and drinks (all in one package). :dontknow:

Yeah by law you can not get military mres unless you know someone, but yeah there is only 2 or 3 companies that are legit and that link you had those are ligit. but did you see out of all the varieties you only get 3 or 4 different kind and I see the added some new ones.

I believe gangs in particular pose a significant threat to peace and civility in times of hardship. More disaffected youths will turn to gangs, as alternative opportunities evaporate (jobs, mentoring, inner city programs, etc.) and times get tough.

OC Spray - The manufacturers have made leaps and bounds in technology these last several years. It's not just for fresh breath anymore! Some of the delivery devices on these units can deliver chemical LONG distances! And the "hotness" of these formulations are much better than older ones.

The US Government does not allow their vendors to use the same packaging for civilians. You'll notice on a military ration it says "US Government Property, Commercial Resale is Unlawful"..... The manufacturer uses different packaging for civilian sales. They say this is done to prevent rations intended for FEMA disaster relief from getting resold to people outside of the intended cause. There was a big shake-up from MRE's being sold on Ebay that were thought to come from the Katrina Rescue effort.
