Exactly opposite
I'll try the meth tomorrow. I think she might be running rich, cause after my drive exhaust tips were black as all hell, it was only a short ride. Tomorrow I'm finishing wideband install, and meth install. I used the scanner tonight, and when under load long term fuel trim was 0, but short term she was in the negative. So I'm thinking to much fuel. Other thing I noticed is the IAT was only 5 degrees warmer than the outside air, now that's a real CAI, thanks Larry :)

Plus I believe detonation is alot louder than what I was hearing tonight, tonight was more of a lagging misfire. It felt like she wanted to go, but something was holding her back.

Did you get the intake installed already?....it is possible you are running to rich but the meth tends to fatten the A/R...do you have a A/F guage?...if not you need one...a must for a FI engine..

Yeah it's installed, intake air temps are very impressive. Stayed right around 5-10 degrees above outside air temps while moving. Finishing up wideband AF gauge tomorrow.

Wait till you get the meth hooked up...the IAT will drop 20+ degrees in a less than 2 seconds...this will keep the PCM from pulling timing on a hot day and cool the combustion at the same time............but get the popping issue corrected before going WOT meth or not......

Normal driving fine, hard acceleration poppin and lagging. I was thinking detonation too, so I brought her home. Running Torrie's non meth tune at the moment.
What does ur A/F gauge read when this is happening. Usually Torrie's base FI tune is pig rich, to keep you safe. Seriously doubt it's detonation.

Larry, where's ur meth nozzle installed. Before the IAT sensor or at the throttle opening and are you running 1 or 2 nozzles?

Did you disconnect the battery and reset the ecu? also here are some numbers you can compare against, LTF STF. yours should be close but not exact different tunes.

Before the IAT and only one nozzle..
Thank you sure. About how far back from the IAT is it and do you know which size nozzle you used?

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! Used a infrared temp gun on the headers, and found that cylinder 1 was running a bit cooler than the others. Pulled the plug and it had a hairline crack in the porcelain on both sides. Put a new plug in, and good to go!!! took her for a spin on the highway, and all I can say is

UPDATED PICS, I will post up gauge pod pics once I am done with the gauge install.

Glad to hear all is good bro. Now make plans to follow sweet cheeks down to PCB and lets have some fun.:D :burnout:

Would those of you that are running meth, mind posting up pics of were you have the nozzle or nozzles located? Also, maybe where you mounted the pump? Thanks, I will greatly appreciate it. Getting ready to install my meth kit sonn and just want to make a decision on nozzle placement. I've read good results, placing it before the IAT sensor, to trick the computer with colder intake temps, thus the computer wont back off timing. I've alsoread that placing the nozzle at the throttle opening, allows for a higher octane rating, because the meth mixes with the fuel better. I was actually thing of placing to small nozzles in the system, rather than one large nozzle. One before the IAT sensor and one at the throttle opening.
