Weight Reduction- weights of parts- ACCURATE!

I got rid of my spare. Honestly the best weight reduction / traction mod I made was removing the front sway bar. Special thanks to Arrestmered04 for that one :D

True there! A toolbox doesn't weigh a lot but the contents add up fast !!
Proud to say the Venomous QC is at 4900 street weight!! Gas light on and minus me. Sheds another 125 lbs with Slicks and skinnies. Still have sway bars and a few other things I'll she'd for race night ;)

With the sway bars? Do you have a single list of everything you have done?

Do u put it back in for everyday driving? Does it affects ur handling?

I have yet to put it back on and to me it drives no different.

Sway bars DO help with sway or the feeling of the body rolling or leaning around corners. Won't affect most normal daily driving. Hard cornering will be very noticeable minus sways.

leave your spare... especially for your first time... IMO it helps more than it hurts...

Take it from one of the quickest NA trucks on this site....loose all of the weight you can! In my opinion extra weight NEVER helps.....unless you're trying to go slower.....but then again.....what do I know:D You can listen to the guys who run 13's or the guy who runs 11's, your choice!

I removed mine several years ago, per ArrestMeReds advice, and I never put in back on. I have over 64,000 miles of driving and I can't tell any difference, and although I don't road race , I do drive 75-80 on the freeway and have no touble with the fast turns on the highway, I even drive home from the strip with 16lbs of air in the slicks and 50lbs in the front tires , and the truck handles just fine at freeway speeds. The sway bar is 26.5 lbs.

When i broke my driveshaft a few months back it hit that metal sheild hard to and scratched it up good, but my tank was not hurt one bit. MINE STAYS FOR GOOD NOW ALSO lol

Damn! 26.5lbs!! I did hear at one point the sway bars were beefed up on the 06's so mine might be another couple pounds.

i know for a fact that the guy who has no experience, and no other "lightening" mods who removes 100 lbs. from behind his axle will lose time... guaranteed...

No way, Dude. 100 pounds makes a bigger difference on the big end than the slight difference on the launch. Maybe we need to do some testing?

Leave the rear bar on, it keeps the axle from trying to twist and lifting the right tire up loosing traction

Good advice! Thanks.

One thing that drives me nuts about the weight distribution on these truck... we sit obviously on the drivers side, extra weight on that side from all the steering components... Dont you think that Dodge would have tried to offset some weight with the battery and fuel tank??? Nope, stuff all that on the drivers side too. I've really been wanting to do the battery relocation to the bed, but I've read that some people have had starting issues with all that extra cable. Any info from guys who have done it?
